San Baronto

Laid on the Montalbano ridge, San Baronto observes the plain from the top. It owes its story to the Frankish monk who gave it the name and of whom the church stands as a symbol, especially the crypt which, according to the stories, still preserves his remains.

San Baronto is a tourist destination and an amazing panoramic viewpoint. Its proximity to the main Tuscan cities (Pistoia, Firenze, Lucca, Pisa) makes this village a destination of trips, while along its roads cyclists and motorcyclists are attracted by the pleasure of a charming countryside, breathtaking views and gorgeous villages.

On April 7th 1995 San Baronto has become patron saint of cyclists of all the Tuscan dioceses.
