Walking Montalbano June 2024

Walking Montalbano June 2024

Excursions on the historical paths of Lamporecchio and Montalbano are back

Our guided walks come back this year too. They are organized by the Municipality of Lamporecchio and the tourist office San Baronto-Lamporecchio and they are an unmissable chance for tourists and local people to discover the hidden treasures in Lamporecchio and the Montalbano hill walking along the paths in our territory.

From Thursday June 6 we are organizing weekly excursions, with groups of maximum 30 people and booking required. All our guided visits are free and are in Italian and English with our qualified guide Michela Del Negro.

Thursday June 6th at 9 a.m. after a visit of the Church and its evocative Romanic crypt in San Baronto, the walk will follow the Montalbano ridge path immersed in chestnut and pine trees to discover some of the best views and then head to San Baronto with a loop trail.

Friday June 14th at 9 a.m. our excursion starts at Centro visite Padule di Fucecchio in Castelmartini (Larciano) and heads to Porto delle Morette and to the path that goes through the marshes (we recommend the use of binoculars to observe the reserve’s fauna and flora). During the walk we will visit “Intrecci” centre to see the basketry weaving techniques using marsh grasses.
Thursday June 20th at 5 p.m. starting from the Church of Santa Maria del Pruno in Orbignano the itinerary will head to Tigliano, frantoio del Ferrale and will reach Vinci area to come back to the starting point.

Thursday June 27th at 5 p.m. the walk starts from Lamporecchio and goes through the Park to arrive in Spicchio, the organizing centre of the Rospigliosi’s properties since the 15th century.
